Only about nine days until the Super Bowl extravaganza in Miami. But, honestly, who cares about the football game on the field. It's all about the advertising game happening in between plays and TV timeouts.
Oh, and what recession? Brands continue to shell out megabucks for 30 second spots. This year's figure is pegged at $2.5M down from a high of $3M in the past.
To all you marketers out there, spending $2.5M on PR will get you about 45,000,000 million seconds of our attention rather than just 30 seconds.
No brainer, right?
Check out the most memorable Super Bowl ads of the past. My personal favorite is Reebok's 2002 Terry Tate: Office Linebacker, do yourself a favor and watch it.
