Bloodbath at BusinessWeek

We’ve been hearing rumors over the past few weeks about impending BusinessWeek layoffs as a result of its acquisition by Bloomberg and looks like today is the day.

Here’s a list of the reporters that have been let go that we’re aware of:

• Steve Baker - technology writer and veteran of 23 years
• Jon Fine - media writer
• Stephen Wildstrom - personal tech columnist
• Shirley Brady - community editor
• Damian Joseph - innovation section
• Lauren Young - personal finance writer
• Heather Green - tech writer who just came back from maternity leave
• Jay Greene - Seattle reporter
• Amy Choi - small biz reporter
  

Baker tweeted “after 23 years, I am done at BusinessWeek. Nov 30 is my last day” and Wildstrom’s tweet was “Just got word out of the blue that I will not be staying with BusinessWeek when we move to Bloomberg. I guess I'm on the market.”
