Dr Rob Yeung, the British business psychologist, author, television presenter and international speaker has used comments from our very own Carol-Ann White in his latest book, ‘The Rules of Job Hunting’ .
Carol-Ann lends her insight to the book and is quoted in the chapters ‘opening up opportunities’ and ‘being unforgettable at interviews’.
“For us as an employer, our preference is to find candidates through referrals or recommendations rather than agencies or other means,” says Carol-Ann White, Global HR Director at public relations business LEWIS. “So networking through contacts and going to events is key to getting a job.” (pp57)
“Too many candidates struggle to show knowledge about the company that is interviewing them,” says Carol-Ann. “Even for senior candidates such as account directors, they don’t know the right questions to ask – such as whether the company is financially stable. When it comes to questions, most candidates lack business acumen and research skills.” (pp138)

I do lots of PR and am currently writing my 20th book. If Lewis wants to get involved in other press and books that I do, let me know...
